PakSense Ultra TK is a  cold case diagnostic tool kit that enables retailers to monitor cold cases at the store level. A predictive maintenance tool, Ultra TK provides data on how cold cases are functioning, if proper temperatures are being maintained, and if corrective action is necessary. This proactive approach to cold case monitoring enables retailers to reduce product loss due to cold case failures, increase food safety and product quality, optimize cold case maintenance schedules, and reduce energy expenditures.

Unlike other cold case monitoring solutions on the market, Ultra TK requires minimal infrastructure, minimal monetary investment, and minimal training to use.  PakSense Ultra Wireless In-Store monitoring labels are activated and placed in freezers, cold cases and walk-in coolers. With the simple touch of a button, store managers can download detailed temperature data from all labels using the PakSense Ultra Wireless Reader. Temperature information from all cases can be immediately reviewed on the reader screen, allowing corrective action to be taken, if necessary.  Data from the reader can then be downloaded to a PC for permanent storage and ongoing analysis.

Because the PakSense Ultra Wireless Label and Reader operate on an independent power source, they are ideal for use in areas that experience power outages due to extreme weather, such as snow and ice storms, hurricanes and tornados. When a power outage occurs, they can be used to determine if product has remained within acceptable temperature ranges and can prevent unnecessary disposal.
